The problem I faced recently is that I lost private keys for ethereum wallet. In effect I lost around 500 Euros which is not much but it’s a loss, nevertheless. To prevent this in future, I’m considering buying few HSMs which I would also use for generating other secrets like keys for ssl, PDF signing, etc.
